Michigan Justice Fund

Michigan Justice Fund (MJF) is a time-limited funders collaborative dedicated to transforming the criminal legal system in Michigan to create truly safe and just communities for all. In partnership with room for magic, Olu & Company provided a full visual rebrand for the fund including a logo, fonts, photography direction, social media and presentation templates and a comprehensive brand guidelines deck.

Olu and room for magic were then tasked with bringing this visual identity to life by creating MJF’s annual report and impact video for 2021 and 2022. Olu interviewed over 15 key grantee partners working in local organizations, government departments and academic institutions, drafted copy and managed image and video production. Our first annual report and video proved to be invaluable assets for sharing the Fund’s impact and developing new relationships with funders and grantees. 

For the 2022 report and video, we wanted to push our work even further. With room for magic, we developed an editorialized direction for the report, resulting in a magazine-quality asset, complete with grantee interviews, a photo story and robust storytelling within a 100-page report and 7-minute video.
