Joe Louis Greenway (City of Detroit)

The City of Detroit hired Olu & Company to provide communications, budgeting, media relations, graphic design and event planning support for two Joe Louis Greenway (JLG) insight meetings. The Joe Louis Greenway is a new 31.5-mile recreational path connecting neighborhoods from the riverfront to 8 Mile. At the meeting, residents had a chance to meet the two finalists on the short list of consultants that were chosen to complete the planning, view the Greenway's total footprint, discuss phases of construction, and share insights and opinions. The finalists, Spackman Mossop and Michaels, LLC and SmithGroup, Inc., were in attendance to present their plans for the Greenway and answer questions from residents. We also secured coverage in Architectural Digest, Curbed Detroit and Model D.
