VOLTA NEW YORK 2017

As VOLTA NY approached a decade in New York City as Armory Art Week’s champion of cutting-edge international perspectives and unparalleled platform for discovering the art world’s rising stars, Olu & Company developed a media relations strategy that highlighted Artistic Director Amanda Coulson, consulting curator Wendy Vogel, design partner Wintercheck Factory and 96 exhibiting galleries and artist run-spaces hailing from across five continents. Expanding VOLTA NY’s fiercely loyal global following was our goal, and the fair garnered over 100 items of press in an array of outlets. Read about VOLTA NY’s decade edition in Art + Auction, ARTnews, the Art Newspaper, Hyperallergic, TL Magazine, Flaunt, APlus, Hollywood Reporter and New York Magazine’s Bedford + Bowery

VOLTA NEW YORK 2016

Amanda Coulson, Artistic Director of VOLTA, approached Olu & Company two weeks in advance of VOLTA NY’s 2016 edition for support promoting the fair’s first Curated Section, “Something I Can Feel,” organized by artist Derrick Adams. In addition to providing on-site support for the press preview and other special events, Olu & Company secured coverage in The New York TimesHyperallergicThe Creators ProjectArtinfoNew York Observer and artnet News. These stories ensure that, as others adopt and emulate Coulson’s model of staging thematic exhibitions within the context of an art fair, it’s forever on the record that VOLTA NY did it first.
